In Your Neighborhood

The Save Mart Companies believes that serving our communities goes beyond the four walls of our Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx stores. We are truly committed to nourishing the communities we serve and activating at the grass roots level.

  • The Save Mart Companies CARES Foundation

In 2000, we established The Save Mart Companies CARES Foundation, our philanthropic, non-profit organization, supporting programs and organizations that provide vital resources for children and families in the communities we serve. The CARES Foundation focuses on building stronger communities through fresh foods, accessibility, and programs that support youth and helping them to thrive. Annually, The CARES Foundation contributes approximately $500,000 in small grants to support community-based, non-profit organizations.

  • Local Community Engagement

Our Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx store teams proudly support education and development, youth activities and sports, food donations, and community health and wellness in a variety of ways each day. By nourishing healthy communities, our stores are proud neighbors in the communities we serve. Some of our common community relations efforts include:

Adopt-a-School Program: Each store adopts a local school to enrich the faculty, staff, students, parents, and stakeholders of the school throughout the year.

Youth Activities and Sports Teams Sponsorships: Each store may sponsor youth activities through sponsorships of sports or other youth enrichment activities and teams.
