The Save Mart Companies’ Give.Share.CARE! Holiday Drive netted $256,964 for hunger relief efforts in the communities our stores serve. All 207 stores began collecting cash donations to local food banks at checkout on November 15th and lasted until the last week of December. Our shoppers have always been generous during this annual drive.
The campaign got a boost when Hershey’s kick-started the first day with a $5,000 donation in Bakersfield and another in Fresno. TSMC also matched donations made at our Northern Nevada Save Mart stores on December 8, as part of the KTVN-TV Share Your Christmas Drive. For some food banks, the money helps fight hunger beyond the holidays.
