Save Mart/Lucky/FoodMaxx Stores Raising Funds for “Making Strides”
Support the fight against breast cancer at check stands by purchasing“icons” for $1.00 each
Modesto, Calif., October 4, 2011– All Save Mart, S-Mart Foods, Lucky, FoodMaxx, and MaxxValue Foods stores will be selling paper “Making Strides” icons for $1.00 each from October 3through October 23. An estimated 2.5 million breast cancer survivors will celebrate a birthdaythis year thanks to those who not only make donations but also participate in cancer walks,raising much needed funds towards cancer research. Our shoppers can offer their supporteffortlessly at the checkstand when they pay for their groceries. Once purchased, the icons will be hung in the stores in celebration of the “Making Strides” campaign and as a joyful reminder of what great communities we serve.
In 2010, our generous customers donated over $111,500. Times are hard and finances are tightbut thousands of customers purchasing a $1.00 icon can raise much needed funds in the fightagainst breast cancer. Our company is proud to be a part of this effort.
