Save Mart Supermarkets has been sponsoring the Sacramento Food Bank’s annual Turkey Drive for years. It rained for much of the day, but the November 16th event broke the record for the most turkeys … with 15,449 collected!
Teams of volunteers from area stores also help unload the donations from vehicles that drive up to the food bank’s collection site. The need is great in this community, and it was nice to see such an outpouring of support to make the Thanksgiving holiday brighter for so many families.
