In its 15th year of sponsorship, Save Mart Celebrates California Agriculture and Produce with Immersive and Entertaining Activations
MODESTO, Calif. (July 14, 2022) – With deep roots in the Central Valley, regional grocer Save Mart is marking its 15th year of sponsorship for the California State Fair & Food Festival by offering lively attractions and immersive experiences for fairgoers of all ages. From entertaining cooking challenges and educational kitchen demonstrations to interactive farms stations and fair-favorite frozen wine slushies, Save Mart’s uniquely-California offerings highlight the state’s bountiful agriculture and produce. A popular staple of California summer life, the California State Fair & Food Festival runs from July 15th to the 31st at Cal Expo in Sacramento and will feature a variety of food and wine offerings, livestock competitions, agriculture exhibitions, horse racing, talent shows and more.

Save Mart’s fair attractions include Save Mart’s California Kitchen Exhibit featuring sample booths offering the region’s outstanding produce, products, and beverages; cooking demonstrations and classes led by industry professionals, and a mix of exciting cooking challenges including first responder face offs, aspiring junior chef battles, and more.
The Farm, Presented by Save Mart is a working farm for fairgoers to immerse themselves in interactive stations featuring California crops, tour a functioning greenhouse, and explore the art of blacksmithing. The exhibit also features a “Passport Program” providing visitors a fun way to experience each area of the farm, earn awards and win prizes.
The Save Mart Wine Garden is the nation’s largest public tasting of Gold Medal-winning California wines. Fairgoers learn about the wine-making process and experience the diversity of award-winning wines from the California State Fair and Food Festival’s Commercial Wine Competition. Daily wine offerings include the popular Wine Slushy Bar, featuring different icy blends of flavors to choose from for the perfect afternoon refreshment. All proceeds from The Save Mart Wine Garden will be donated to The Save Mart Companies C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, supporting community, arts, recreation, education and sports programs.
