Save Mart Presents More Than $5,000 in Community Investments at Ribbon Cutting
MODESTO, Calif. – (Sept. 12, 2024) – Save Mart, a part of The Save Mart Companies, the largest regional grocery chain in California, welcomes Riverbank and Stanislaus County guests to the grand reopening of its newly refreshed location at 2237 Claribel Road in Riverbank, California. Extensively refreshed, the neighborhood grocery store was customized to reflect the local tastes and meet the shopping needs of the community with thousands of new items and an expanded assortment of organic produce. Over 600 new wine, spirits and beer selections, a cheese monger and a brand-new floral department were also added.
“We are very excited to level up the shopping experience with the best fresh food and easy meal solutions all at the same low prices our guests expect and deserve,” said Kelly Bizzini, store director at Save Mart Riverbank. “We want to make grocery shopping exciting again and look forward to helping our customers explore new tastes and offerings.”
The store has a new Wine Steward to assist customers in finding the ideal beverage for any occasion. The top-tier collection of bourbons and tequilas, along with rare finds in scotch, rum, and cognac will elevate any fine spirit experience. The new floral shop hosts an on-site florist with professionally designed arrangements for special occasions, weddings, and balloon arrangements.
To make guests’ lives easier, a new curbside Pick-up area with dedicated parking stalls is featured prominently in the front of the store and is free to online Save Mart shoppers every day. Home delivery platforms including Instacart, DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats will continue to fulfill the needs of online customers. In addition, Save Mart welcomes shoppers with EBT SNAP and offers payment options through Instacart.
The first 100 shoppers received a specially curated bag of groceries including a mystery gift card, valued between $10 – $200 and visitors who signed up for a Save Mart Rewards account were entered for a chance to win $1,000 in free groceries (valid 9/11 – 9/30/24 for new sign ups only).
During the ceremonial ribbon cutting, Save Mart presented $5,000 in community investments, including donations to Central Valley Community Resources, Christian Family Food Sharing, Stanislaus Consolidated Fire District, Cardoza Middle School, and Riverbank High School.
To further celebrate the occasion, Save Mart’s iconic “Big Red,” California’s largest and fastest shopping cart, was on site and will remain so throughout the weekend. The company has a variety activities scheduled to mark the grand re-opening in the coming weeks including special in-store samplings and live radio broadcasts from “KAT Country 103” and “La Tricolor” 95.5.
