Every Monday Matters (EMM) believes that every student deserves endless opportunities to connect to how much and why they matter to themselves, their friends and families, their schools, the community around them, and the world. And, that’s just what EMM delivers through their You Matter(TM) curriculum and club programs and with the help of educators nationwide.
Campbell Union School District’s Extension Program (in Santa Clara County)holds a year-round curriculum and educator training that would help them effectively meet specific state and national standards for student success, linked to social and emotional development while also helping students learn the value of community service through high-quality learning experiences.
Campbell Union School District piloted the EMM’ You Matter(TM) program in 2015 as part of their World Changers weekly unit and found this program was successful in not just meeting their program’s standards requirements but also in making a significant contribution to building a thriving community of students who feel good about themselves, value each other, and connect to how important they are to their own success and making a difference in their communities and the world.
Campbell Union District educators in their second year of implementation report that the You Matter(TM) greatest program’s strengths included: Respect for Others, Student Voice, Willingness to Help, Building and Maintaining Constructive Relationships, and Community Awareness.
With a $15,000 grant, the Save Mart C.A.R.E.S. Foundation and Lucky Supermarkets are proud to support the expansion of this program’s implementation into Region 5 which represents over 20,000 students who are enrolled in a variety of after school and enrichment programs throughout Santa Clara, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. Our support will make it possible for EMM to partner with Region 5 to deliver You Matter(TM) educator training workshops and coaching and on-going program delivery and evaluation for the 2017-2018 school year.
