Laurel District Community is Ready to Shop, Save, and Smile
Modesto, Calif., March 15, 2012 – Save Mart Supermarkets hosted a preview party and a grand opening earlier this week for the company’s second Maxx Value Foods. The evening before the grand opening, employees, their families, and special guests from the Laurel Business Improvement District and Laurel Resident Village Association were given a tour and samples of the store’s unique offerings before the Grand Opening on Wednesday, March 7. A check for $500 was presented to the Laurel District Association.
The Ribbon Cutting the next day included the presentation of a $500 check to the Boys and Girls Club. Maxx Value was honored to have Mayor Jean Quan and District Councilwoman Libby Schaaf say a few words in support of the new store and the value it adds to the community. The 11,000 square foot store was transformed into a bright and open concept that provides a good selection of both name and store brand products, including organics, at lower prices.
Save Mart’s hopes the community likes and embraces the transformation of this intimate store and that it truly becomes a neighborhood market.
