Jim Perkins is President for The Save Mart Companies reporting to Shane Sampson, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Jim’s scope of responsibility spans Store Operations, Merchandising Planning and Promotion, and Marketing innovation and activation for all 194 stores and over 12,000 Associates in Northern California and Western Nevada.
Jim’s career spans over 40 years in the grocery industry. Most recently, he was Vice President and General Manager for Lucky Store Operations. Prior to joining The Save Mart Companies, Jim was President, Mid-Atlantic Division and Executive Vice President for Albertsons. As President, Mid-Atlantic Division, Jim was responsible for 300 stores under the ACME, Safeway, Kings, and Balducci’s store banners in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
