Modesto, Calif. .- The Save Mart Companies, parent company of Save Mart, Lucky and FoodMaxx, wants to thank Governor Gavin Newsom for eliminating the 10 cents per grocery bag charge and allowing single use plastic bags at grocery stores in California during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gov. Newsom’s latest executive order is an important decision and step that protects grocery employees and customers during this time as well as improves convenience and reduces the economic burden on shoppers. All Save Mart, Lucky and FoodMaxx stores throughout California have immediately instituted this policy.
