Merced Save Mart, locate on 150 W. Olive Ave., hosted UC Merced Police Department’s annual Bagging for Bucks event that aims to fundraiser for the Merced County Special Olympics!
Athletes and law enforcement officers assisted shoppers by bagging groceries and escorted shoppers to their cars. All tips received will be donated to the Special Olympics to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The event was a HUGE success raising over $2,300 in donations- a new donation record!
“We all had a blast and a half collecting for the Special Olympics,” expressed Bill Ahrens Merced Save Mart Store Manager. “There is nothing quite like having local law enforcement bag your groceries for a special cause!”
