Merced Save Mart presented Merced County Food Bank (MCFB) a Give.Share.Care! check of $10,000!
Give.Share.Care! is FoodMaxx and Save Mart’s signature annual holiday giving campaign. All Save Mart and FoodMaxx stores throughout the Central Valley participated in this year’s campaign to help boost monetary donations to local food banks during the holiday season. At checkout, customers were offered $2, $3 or $5 coupon options that were then added to their grocery bills- 100% of all donations went directly to local food banks.
MCFB helps our communities by sources and distributing food, and other products to those in need through programs and the help of partnering agencies. The food bank also conducts hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocates for public policies that alleviate hunger. Since 2004, MCFB has distributed more than 25 million pounds of food and provides food to nearly 17,000 people every month.
MCFB is a great community partner. The Save Mart Companies, parent company of Save Mart and FoodMaxx, is honored to work with MCFB towards ending the fight against hunger.
