The Save Mart Companies joined the North Bay community in thanking firefighters, police officers and other law enforcement for their hard work during the wildfires back in October. With several Lucky and FoodMaxx stores evacuated due to fire danger, all survived thanks to the first responders.
For a $25 donation, the Laps of Appreciation event enabled adults and kids alike to ride in a police car, fire truck or ambulance around the 1.99-mile track … sometimes at high speeds. The Save Mart Companies donated $2,500 so that 100 kids could participate. More than $72,000 was raised and will benefit. That includes matching funds provided by Sonoma Raceway and NASCAR. All donations were given to The Sonoma County Resilience Fund and the Redwood Valley/Santa Rosa Recovery Fund to help rebuild areas lost in the fires.
The Save Mart Companies has had a great, long-standing partnership with Sonoma Raceway for more than 25 years, sponsoring the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Race every year.
